Lincoln Assassination in the West: Saturday, June 20, at 3:30 p.m.

Please join us for the next Potomac Corral talk on the Lincoln Assassination in the West.

A riot. Buildings draped in mourning. Dancing in the streets. Wondering about the future. These few words summarize the many reactions that people in the American West had to news that President Abraham Lincoln had been assassinated in Washington on April 15, 1865. For the past two years, Ford’s Theatre has been gathering responses to the Lincoln assassination from around the country and world into a new digital collection called Remembering Lincoln. David McKenzie, who managed the project, will share highlights from that collection showing how people in the American West reacted to the assassination of the president.

Date: June 20, 2015
Time: 3:30 p.m.
Location: Arlington Central Library, 1015 N Quincy St, Arlington VA 22201
